Ma'o Cycling

In collaboration with the ORP

This project aims to better understand the presence and movements of silky sharks (Carcharhinus falciformis) and tiger sharks (Galeocerdo cuvier) along the north coast of Tahiti, near a fishing waste dumping area. Through non-lethal captures, the sharks are fitted with acoustic tags to study their behavior and assess the potential impacts of this area on their ecology.
